Bernadette Peters

 Bernadette Peters, nee lazzara was born on February 28 1948. She is an American singer, actress and children's author. In a span of over six decades she's appeared in the musical theatre, on television and in film, performed in solo concerts and released recordings. She is a highly respected Broadway performer. She has received seven Tony Awards nominations (plus an honorary award) along with nine Drama Desk Award nominations. Grammy Awards have been won in four of the Broadway album cast which she has appeared on.



 



 Peters is widely recognized as the most prominent interpreter of the works written by Stephen Sondheim. Her roles on Broadway include Mack and Mabel (1974), Sunday in the Park with George (84), Song and Dance (1985), Into the Woods with George (87), The Goodbye Girl(93), Annie Get Your Gun 1999), Gypsy (2003), A Little Night Music (2009), Follies (2011), as well as Hello, Dolly (2018).
