Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was born in Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordinand within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix's talent for athletics was apparent from the time she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After her first audition she was ranked in the top two in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. Felix graduated from high school and subsequently signed an agreement with Adidas. In 2004 she began her studies at her first year at the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. Felix was presented with her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s and set the new world junior record. She was the youngest world winner in the 200m in the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top third in each event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
